Tried out with ex-olympian Marion Jones for Tulsa Shock basketball team

My name is Ashley Golston, Im from Tulsa, Ok. I'm 25, stand about 5'8" weigh about 152lbs. i can grab the rim. Ive been playing basketball since the age of 9. I graduated from Central High School and earned a basketball scholarship to Seminole State College in Seminole, Ok.

While at Seminole State College under the head coach Rita Story-Schell, I was able to showcase my skills at a higher level. Thus being said, I averaged 18 to 24 points per game with a game high of 35 points. i also averaged 7 rebounds and 5 assists per game.

I play mainly shooting guard but throughout my career, I've played all positions. After two seasons i graduated and moved back to my hometown Tulsa, were my mother was ill. Right now I have a 2yr old son with Dwn Syndrome named A'Davion.

I also play year-round at the YMCA and Hicks park in a womens league. i had the opportunity to tryout for the WNBA team Tulsa Shock with Marion Jones and 2 of my women league players. unfortunately, they had to choose only one player and that was Marion Jones.

I promise if granted the opportunity, I can showcase my skills to you and you will not be disappointed. All I ask is just for a second chance to prove to myself, you and the world that I have the ability to play overseas basketball as well as WNBA basketball.
