My name is Jonathan Scrutchens, and I'm interested in playing basketball professional .I'm from Chicago, where I lived all my life and play basketball all my life. My family lives through basketball, like my father, Robert Scrutchens, who played at Mount Carmel high school in Chicago from 1969-1973 and at Creighton University from 1973-1977. And my cousin, Donnie Boyce, who played at Proviso East High School whom he played with Michael Finley, University of Colorado, Atlanta Hawks, Harlem Globetrotters and current with the Reno Bighorns of NBA D-League as an assistant coach . I played at Harlan Community Academy high school in Chicago for all my years there. I played frosh-soph for two years, where I was the team captain my sophomore year, and played varsity as a sophomore through my last year at Harlan, where I won Most Improved Player my juinor year. Since playing at Harlan, I average 15.9 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 7.5 apg, playing against great teams, won all-tournment team at two Thankgiving tournments and play against Chicago Bulls point guard, Derrick Rose. I also played AAU my 8th grade year for the Chicago Jaguars under coaches Fred Kopko and Marty Murray. At my only year, I average 17.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg and 4.2 apg and went 23-4. On that team, I played with Jeremiah Kelly from Depaul and Thomas Kopko from Notre Dame. My first year in college, I try-out for Kennedy King but didnt make it but coach want me to stay around but I'm had a baby, who is 18 months now, and mess my plans up but I'm stay focus on my goals because I want to be at the highest level of basketball as possible.

I would like an opportunity to try-out for a team over the summer. I will work harder that anyone on a team. Please either give a e-mail john_scrutch@yahoo.com or call for more information. My cell number is (773) 827-3902. Looking toward in talking to you or anyone on the staff.
