My wife and I took our vacation to travel with our 9 year old son to attend and stay for six days at this camp. We were so sad at our experience. The first night our son called us upset that older kids who were unsupervised were calling him "Gay" using profanity and trying to take his money and cell phone. The website said coaches were with the kids at all time this was not the case at all. We could get through this but what we could not get through was the fact that Kenny Smith enrolled 250 kids to play on only four basketball courts. On three separate days our kid as well as so many others were forced to sit on the hardwood floor for 3-4 hours at a time with no instruction, no organization, and no teaching. After the third day we elected to leave the camp and take our losses along with at least 20 other parents who were disgusted with the experience there kids were having. Dont send your child to this camp it was one of the worst experiences we have encountered!!!!

Yes I remember that year, he coached them boys very well, he beat me by 8 points, Kenny does a great job with his camp,,,,there are also some good camps in www.prepallstars.net check them out as well.

Kenny & His Professionalism

Hello: My name is Ervin I have participated with the Kenny Smith Basketball camp for the past 8 years as a staff and coach. I would like to commend Kenny and his entire family for their professionalism and high moral values as it relates to the youth who attend the camp. The entire family goes beyond 150% when it comes to the youth education, excellence and then sports, there are conversations through out the entire week on the importance of academics, respect, and good work ethics on and off the court.

For this I am proud of the accomplishments of Kenny Smith as he continues to give back in a positive way to the youth who inspire to follow sports, but he makes sure they understand the importance of learning and achieving and education.
