Tell Us your Story*:
I have very willing desire to play basketball. Peoplw tell me I am s very fine athelete, team player, hard worker and fast learner, well rounded young man. I have been playing basketball since I was 7 yrs old. I am now 20yrs old. I need to know how can I get myself on a team or even get a team to look at me or give me a chance to show them what skills he has?

I fill that I let my family down, you see I was on track, atleast I thought I was. Because I didn't know enough about recruiting and how to get the proper exposure. My senior year they hired a new coach, who had his own agenda. He brought players from his prior school and let them play 1st string, placing most of the current students who had been playing for 2-4yrs at the school (me son a senior) 2nd & 3rd string. Not that I was a bad player, but because the coach had already work with the other boys (whom were 9th - 11th grade). Which they would have had several more years to play. When I tried to allow my mom to speak with the coach who advise the (parents) if we don't like it then take your son off the team. Me being the team player I was, I told my mom to leave it alone, because I just wanted to play ball. However, I only got 2 or 3 minutes each game, which mean i didn't get much exposure. This is the same young man that played for this same coach 1st string all summer long leading
and help them win championships games. This is the same young man who graduated with honors, who played basketball elementary, middle and high school,in church leagues, AAA tournaments, Allstars camps and shootouts, recreational centers, AAU, AAU Nationals, tournaments, etc. I'm a young man who will play basketball anytime with anyone just so he can play. He keeps himself in good shape and still talks about my dream of playing professional basketball. This is the only thing that I evered seem to truly excite me is when I am playing basketball. I'm currently going to school to be a sports agent/accountant. When I was in middle school I use to say that would be my backup plan was to be a basketball sports agent, basketball sports manager, basketball sports accountant or basketball coach. You see everything I wants to do or be is center around that round orange striped ball (basketball). If I can't play it then I will be a part of it by helping someone

else. This summer I was an assistant coach of a 14 & under team that won their championship division and was ask to play in another league which they accepted.

I don't know where to start or who to talk too. Can you help me Hugh Franklin Roy Walthall III. I'm a true athlete and great basketball player. It's not that I wasn't good enough it was just I never had the right opportunity to be seen. I just need the opportunity to show the right people his skills.

Please help us by pointing me in the right direction. Who do we contact? What do we need to have in place? Where do we go? How can he better prepare? What are the scouts looking for? When is the next scouting opportunity and how do we tap into this information? How do we obtain the schools that will recruit someone already in college? I will travel and willing to relocate over seas if need be. Just tell me how to get there. My love is basketball and it is my driving force and 1st priority to get me where I have the opportunity to show what he can do.

Thanks in advance for your time and your willingness to help. I'm looking forward to hearing from you or your organization soon. Please feel free to past this on to anyone who can assist me with this endeavor. You may forward any literature or applications by email or mail, also feel free to call me anytime day or night.

Sincerely,

Hugh Walthall III
