I grew up a military brat always moving from state to state, country to country. As a youth living overseas I mainly played soccer but when I moved to the states around the age of 14 was when I picked up the game of basketball and since then I haven't been able to put the ball down. I've always been a "natural" athlete so picking up the game of wasn't hard at all. Whether it was playing middle school basketball (6th-7th grade) or varsity basketball (8-12th) grade I always managed to find myself in the starting line up. My Sophmore and Junior year of high school (06-07) was when I was looked at the most. I played and started in 21 games that season with the Blackstone-Millville Regional Chargers a Division II high school in Central Massachusetts. Here are a few key stats for that season:
Points Per Game: 7.3
Assists Per Game: .9
Rebounds Per Game: 3.2
Steals Per Game: 1.5
FG%: 45%
2FG%: 44%
3FG%: 63%
FT%: 80%
Total Assists: 17
Total Offensive Rebounds: 34
Total Defensive Rebounds: 27
Total Rebounds: 61
Total Steals: 29
* Team leader in 3FG%, FT%, 2nd in Offensive Rebounds, 3rd in Total Rebounds, 2nd in Steals
Key Achievements:
DVC All-Star (06-07)
5 Year Starter on Varsity Team (Shooting Guard/Point Guard)
Team Captain for four years
Ranked in top 50 players in Massachusetts (06-07)
Unfortunately I wasn't able to obtain stats for the other 4 years I played. Maxpreps only uploaded information from my 06-07 season. Anyways, After High School I skipped out on college and decided to join the Air Force. My First two years in the military I was stationed overseas in Japan. While there I still continued to play basketball for the Base Basketball Team. The talent there was exceptional. While being assigned there we played other military based teams from different regions of Japan as well as Korea. At times we would also play games against local Japanese teams. Now that I am stationed back statside I'm looking into participating in local leagues hoping that will help with exposing my talents further and possibly lead to something bigger and better.
