For the Love of the Game

Hello my name is Robyn Stone. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. I am the oldest out of 4 siblings. I attended Lawrence North High School from 2000-2004. I came in as a freshman starting on the Varsity Team.

I was ranked as the sixth best unsigned player by the All-Star Girls Report. I was also ranked as one of the top 100 seniors in the country by the All-Star Girls Report.

Stone was a preseason first team Indiana All-State selection this season. She averaged 15.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.6 assists in her final high school season. She earned second team all-state honors by the Indiana High School Coaches Association.

Stone played in the prestigious Nike All-American camp in 2003, where she was considered one of the top 80 players in the country. She also played on the Indiana Junior All-Star team.

I averaged a double doubles in most of the game, whether it was with assist, steals, rebounds, points. I broke the school record with the most rebounds, and averaged the most double doubles a game my high school year. There may have been some games that I had triple doubles while playing.

I played at two different colleges Gulf Coast College in Florida. I only played 1 year with a record of only loosing 4 games through the whole season, where I averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assist, and 5 steals.

I attended Jefferson College where I averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds, 8 steals, and 5 assist. At Jefferson, I played any position possible being 5’5. I may be short, but I’d always want to be underneath with the centers. Finishing my career at Jefferson College where the team went to Nationals.

I played the post on 6'0 girls with my ability to jump. I would rebound the ball to push the ball, or to find one of my teammates running the floor well to get the ball to them. I'm a great rebounder over girls who were taller than me. I would always get questioned why am I always in the Paint. I love being down in the paint with the big girls cause I am so little they under estimate me, so I like to grab the ball and go.
My dream is to play basketball. I look forward to pursuing my dream playing ball overseas, and or in the League. Take a Look at me I can do anything and would love to play ball anywhere. I'm able to play any position, it doesn't matter to me the size at all.
