I tried this, it really works and you see instant results to help you with basketball rebounding.
You honestly do not need any super expensive work out equipment, just a skipping rope, I know what you're thinking....ewww skipping its sooo girly, believe me, that's what I thought, but if you want to win the jump at the beginning of games and be able to get rebounds you need to skip.
If you are just starting, try skipping for about 2 minutes. You can even listen to your favorite music to make time fly. Your legs may feel like jello but just take a little break and drink some water, soon you will be ready for another set. When you feel 2 minutes is getting easier try pushing yourself to do 3 minutes.
