Basketball: My life

My name is Matthew Corbin and I am a 5'7 point guard playing for Allentown Central Catholic High School. Im 16 years old, weigh about 155lbs and i'm entering my junior year for the 2011-2012 school year.

When it comes to basketball my obvious strengths are my speed and agility. These two aspects of my game make me a defensive stopper and give me extremely precise ball handling skills.

Although I am short I can nearly dunk and my shooting over big men is excellent. On the other hand my height does cripple me at times when rebounding the ball but my steals and overall play off the ball makes up for it I believe.

Also I do have a slight tendency to get into foul trouble but when the situation comes up I know how to handle it. As a player I am extremely vocal with my teammates and I am very expressive. However this isn't a bad thing because I very seldom get technical fouls.

Bottom line I want to play basketball overseas for now and hopefully in the NBA one day. I am ready to tryout for junior u17 teams that play overseas and see if I'm offered a contract.
