December 2009 Update

Planet Hoops is in negotiations with Coach Cavit Altunay from Istanbul,
Turkey to organize an elite level summer camp this July, 2010 in Turkey.

This will be called The World's Best Basketball Camp.

The camp will be high intensity for 1 week. You can choose to attend for
2 weeks if you wish to ensure an even better result.

The camp will either be in the beach city of Antalya or Bolu in the beautiful
mountains.

Cavit will teach his "Modular Basketball" method and you are guaranteed to
make tremendous improvement.

Other top Coaches from North America, Australia and Europe will also be
coaching at this Basketball Camp.

If you are a boy or girl who is 16-18 years old, this 2 week camp is perfect
preparation to receive a Basketball Scholarship to the U.S.

The Basketball Camp is also open to High School, College and Pro Coaches who want
to learn the "Modular Basketball" philosophy from the master himself,
Cavit Altunay.

The Men's World Championships of Basketball will also be in Istanbul
in August, 2010.

January 6th, 2009 Update

I have confirmed to be in attendance coaching. My details are on the

I am super excited about travelling to Turkey as well as to be a part of
this first annual camp which promises to be one of the best Basketball
Camps in Europe if not the world.

We also have Gilad Shoham confirmed. His biography is below:

Coach Gilad Shoham has 18 years of experience in basketball coaching.
At the beginning of his career Coach Shoham advanced from training the
High School level into coaching professional basketball in Europe. He has
served as the Assistant Coach for the Under-21 Israeli National Team and
is considered a pioneer in bringing digital scouting to European basketball. 

Gilad’s outstanding knowledge and experience both as a coach and in game
analysis gave him the chance to work with the ACE IntelliGym. As the Vice
President of Basketball Operations at ACE, Coach Shoham has been working
with top players from the NCAA Division 1 powerhouses such as: Florida,
Kentucky, Memphis, Kansas, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Marquette
and many more. 

Coach Shoham is dedicated to take the decision-making skills of basketball
players to the next level, by utilizing the state-of-the-art technology designed
by ACE.

Currently Gilad serves as the president of VideoCoachMe, a ground breaking
coaching experience for US players over the web.

January 11th Update

We have also just  confirmed that Bruce Hultgren of Australia will also be in
attendance in Turkey this summer for the Camp.

Bruce's Bio is below:

Bio of Bruce Hultgren

Former professional player (8 years) in the Australian National Basketball
League and now coach - Bruce has spent the past 18 years developing the
world's first systemized basketball coaching program.

This program brings a totally unique perspective to the art of getting
players involved in the game.

At the same time Bruce has developed easy to implement shooting teaching
techniques that create immediate success results whether the player is a
novice or professional.

Tested in over 6 countries around the world, Bruce's
unique view on the game brings a fresh approach and energy to the way we
teach and interact with the athlete.
