Othello Alford
Bio:
A pass first point guard with the athleticism and scoring ability to also play the two spot. Othello is a very coachable player, with a great feel for the game. Plays well in an up-tempo offense, but can also execute plays in a half-court set as a lead guard. A 6’5 wingspan and great quickness helps him to be a good defender. A 40in vertical helps him to also be an above average rebounder for his size. He has a great passion for the game, and is a true winner.
Played at Sam Houston, also had offers elsewhere. Left there due to constant headbutts with the head coach. Went to Southwestern Oklahoma which is a DII. Was going to leave after his junior year again due to coaching problems and a horrible 6-19 record. Because of a coaching change, he came back as the starting point guard and led the team to the second best start in school history winning the first ten games in a row.
He has matured a lot since his last year in college and is a very good player. Check out his videos.
