Just a quick little message about our amazing web host SBI. They have been so good to us. The tools they provide, the support, the forums for learning are all so invaluable.

FIBA

FIBA site
FIBA is the official world governing body of basketball so they have a unique approach to the game. North American players and coaches would do themselves a favour to open their minds up and realize that International basketball minds are just as creative and talented as those in the US.

Take what you can learn from them and you'll be better for it. Some of the best games and exercises (drills) I have ever used I adopted from International coaches.

Hoop-Hype Blog

Just a reminder for those who do not know about our Blog. The blog can be found at our site and we are constantly updating it with current basketball (and sometimes not baskketball related) information.

Web Video

Video on the web is here to stay. We have just signed up for a great web video player from the Web Video Zone:

This will allow us to place more videos on our site and we will be able to easily convert them to Flash which 98% of all web users already have installed on their computers.

Google, Youtube, Myspace, Revver, Yahoo and many more companies are into video in a big way and basketball players and coaches need to catch this wave and use it to their advantage.

Teaching Shooting

If you want to buy a great gift for someone close to you I highly recommend Tom Nordland's Swish series of Shooting Videos/DVD's. I have both Swish 1 and 2 and I must say that they are probably the best I have ever seen.

The concepts are so simple yet profound and he uses kids in his demos and they shoot the lights out. It is a must buy if you are a player or a coach. Please just at least check out the link to his site. You will not be dissapointed.

DV Coach and StatsPod

For all the coaches out there who would like a professional quality Digital Video Analysis system at a reasonable price then you have to look no further than the DV Coach system. It is a real time saver. You can go to a comprehensive PDF by Clicking Here

The Statspod is a product aslo by the makers of DV Coach (Prowess Sports of Australia). It is basically a Voice Activated portable Statistics taking computer.
