Hello, and welcome to the fourth issue of "As The Planet Hoops" E-zine, brought to you by Planet Hoops and www.Hoop-Hype.net.
This is the fourth of many monthly E-Zine posts so stay tuned and please tell us what you think.

First off I want to apologize for being so late with this latest e-zine. I cannot believe it has been 3 months since we last mailed out a newsletter. No excuses, just sorry.

As we have said before we are going to bring you the highest quality, most recent information about basketball from around the world. We know that basketball is a tremendous game and that it is played in almost every country of the world and it is growing all the time. I think this is so because basketball is so much fun to play yet challenging, almost like golf.

We will bring you coaching tips, playing tips, tips on how to get a basketball scholarship, information about basketball recruiting videos, basketball video games and much, much more. Please let us know what you want us to write about because this is your e-zine.

Sports Agency

If you go to our basketbal overseas page you will notice that we have teamed up with a Professional Sports Agency. We are not agents and do not want to be agents. It is a specialized field and most agents are lawyers or have tremendous experience in their field. We feel that we have found a fantastic partner to help us help you. If you are looking to play Pro Ball and have what it takes please contact us and we will put you in touch with our partners.

Blog

Just a reminder that we have a relatively new Blog (Web log) section on our site now. Whenever we find something useful or interesting in the basketball world we'll post it on our Blog page. Also whenever we update any of our pages they automatically get posted as a Blog post.

Podcast

The Podcast is also something that we have explored and will do more of. Basically a Podcast is an audio file that can be subscribed to and downloaded to be played later on an MP3 type of device e.g. iPod. We have done 2 of them and Paul Bale, our resident NBA expert has a new one on the way where he'll discuss, amongother things, Kobe Bryant's 80 plus point game. Just a quick mention to those who want to keep up with the Global game. NBA.com has an excellent Global Hoop section and the other site which I feel is very good is the FIBA site
FIBA is the official world governing body of basketball so they have a unique approach to the game. North American players and coaches would do themselves afavour to open their minds up and realize that International basketball minds are just as creative and talented as those in the US. Take what you can learn from them and you'll be better for it. Some of the best games and exercises (drills) I have ever used I adopted from International coaches.
