Hoop Hype is Contagious-Don't Forget Your Shot

Issue #001-August 2005

Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever "As The Planet Hoops" E-zine, brought to you by Planet Hoops and www.Hoop-Hype.net. This will be the first of many monthly E-Zine posts so stay tuned and please tell us what you think.

What we are going to do here is bring you the highest quality, most recent information about basketball from around the world. We know that basketball is a tremendous game and that it is played in almost every country of the world. We will bring you coaching tips, playing tips, tips on how to get a basketball scholarship, information about basketball recruiting videos, basketball video games and much, much more. Please let us know what you want us to write about because this is your e-zine.

I want to start off this week by telling you a bit about how Planet Hoops was created. Planet Hoops was started by 3 friends who have a great interest in the sport of basketball and who wanted to give back to the game they received so much from.

The friends had a lunch meeting one day to discuss how they could promote basketball around the world. The 3 of them had all played at university in Canada and they all had careers overseas as players and/or coaches. They knew there must be a way to pass on their knowledge gained from years of experience as a way to give back and have a little fun at the same time.

What they decided was what you see before you, a web based company providing both young and old, male and female players and coaches with top notch information on how to get the most from this great game.

As time goes on we will be adding more and more content to our site with great articles from top coaches from countries such as the U.S., Australia,Canada and who knows where else. We do know that Hoop-Hype is going to be huge.

We will also be writing about the NBA and College basketball. As I said before though, it will ultimately be up to our subscribers to tell us what they want to read about.

Lastly we will be having guest writers write a column here occasionally for "As The Planet Hoops". Thanks for reading and you can be sure of great articles and information in the very near future. Take care.
