I am a hard working individual with strong leadership skills. I have transformed from a role player to a main contributor in the last few weeks of my senior season. Due to my high school role I wasn't as aggressive; I played behind someone every year but went to college to and became a better player who can always be counted on in clutch situations.
I led my team to their first national tournament birth in 20 years and went on to finish 7th in the nation. I had offers for division 2 schools and NAIA division 1 but instead I came to a D3 close to home so I can stay by my family.
Because of my passion for the game and my dedication I would love to continue my career overseas professionally. I am a very coach able person, I know how to take constructive criticism and I can also give it when needed.
My stats aren't glaring, although I have doubled my stats in every category from last year when I played behind the point guard of my current college. I ranked 5th in the conference in assist to turnover ratio and I shot 50% from the field on shooting almost 200 shots.
I am a very aggressive person with speed, I’m always compared to Tony Parker because of my speed, I’ve won 2 dunk contest at my school which explains my aggressiveness in the rebounds category.
I’ve posted a career best game this year with 20 points, 7 assist, 1 turnover, 2 steals and 5 rebounds. I’ve also had a game close to a triple double which was 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assist with 1 turnover.
Because of my team’s lack of chemistry this year, we didn’t do well. It was a very talented team but couldn’t play that well together. We also had many setbacks with 5 people being dismissed from the team and 1 being injured it was a very emotional season.
To conclude my story, if given the chance I will prove why I should be playing professional basketball overseas and why I can be a good contribution to any team. I'm always positive no matter if i'm playing 40 minutes or 0 mins and i will always work hard to play more and to win.
